To create or retrieve your 10-character Profile Code:
- Send NIN followed by a space and your 11-digit National Identification Number (e.g.
NIN 01234567890) to 55019 or 66019. - Ensure your SIM card has at least ₦50 airtime (not data balance).
- You will receive an SMS containing your 10-character Profile Code and your registered full name as linked on NIMC.
Important: The phone number used to send this SMS will become your unique registered mobile contact for all future JAMB notifications.
To perform data modifications:
- Log in to your JAMB e-Facility profile.
- Select Application for Correction of Data from the left menu bar.
- Select the data item you wish to modify (e.g. Date of Birth, Name, Gender, or State/LGA).
- Make the payment of ₦2,500 via Remita and proceed to an accredited CBT Centre or JAMB State Office to complete biometric verification.
Note: Date of birth corrections must synchronize with your verified NIMC National Identity Database records.
If your institution has shortlisted you but your status on CAPS still displays "Not Admitted" or "Admission in Progress":
- Ensure your O-Level results (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) are successfully uploaded and verified on your CAPS portal.
- Confirm that your institution has formally recommended your admission to JAMB for final desk clearance.
- Check if you have an unaccepted transfer offer in the Transfer Approval section on CAPS.
Once recommended by your institution and approved by JAMB, the status will update to "Admitted", enabling you to accept or reject the offer.
Candidates with biometric verification issues must NOT attempt to register at unauthorized cafes.
Please report directly to the nearest JAMB State Headquarters Office. Only the JAMB State Coordinator is authorized to process candidates categorized under Biometric Exception following manual identity vetting.
If payment was completed via Remita, bank transfer, or USSD but your e-PIN was not delivered:
- Send UTMEPIN or DEPIN to 55019 or 66019 from the registered telephone number.
- Alternatively, retrieve your transaction receipt with the 12-digit RRR number and visit remita.net to check transaction status.
- If still unissued, raise a support ticket under Payment & Remita Verification with your RRR and bank debit alert attached.
Yes. Change of Course/Institution is open immediately after the release of the official UTME results until the final institution admission cut-off date.
Candidates may make changes to their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th choice institutions at any accredited JAMB CBT Centre nationwide upon Remita fee clearance.
Direct Entry applicants must present:
- Original A-Level certificate, ND/HND statement of results, NCE, Cambridge, or IJMB transcript.
- O-Level result verification printout (maximum of two sittings).
- JAMB Registration e-Slip and Profile Code.
- Official academic transcript forwarded directly to the candidate's first-choice institution.
If you experienced power outage, computer system shutdown, or misconduct by examination invigilators during your examination:
Raise a ticket immediately under the CBT Center Experience category with your Registration Number, Examination Town, Center Name, and Session timing.
